CreativeBridge Coalition Hosts Third Annual Fundraiser

Mahoning Valley Ohio special needs kids to benefit from afternoon festivities.

Youngstown, OH, May 15, 2015 --(PR.com)-- On Sunday afternoon, May 17, the Fireplace Restaurant & Lounge in Youngstown, OH will host CreativeBridge Coalition’s third annual fundraiser from 3-6pm. Like previous events, this one offers an afternoon of live music, food, cash drawings and a silent auction including unique celebrity offerings.

CBC co-founders Bill Bodine and Dan Marshall, former musicians from the local Youngstown area, formed CreativeBridge Coalition in 2009 as a non-profit committed to bringing music-based programs to young children and those with special needs. With their local colleague, Linda Wellendorf, they’ve offered programming for special needs kids in the Mahoning Valley and elsewhere since 2011.

This year’s musical entertainment includes music by DJ Carl Severino as well as live performances by three different bands made up of more than a dozen veteran musicians from the area. In addition to appearing in groups such as Brainchild, Glass Harp, Great Pretenders, Holes in the Road, Human Beingz, Michael Stanley Band & Special Forces, this “all star” lineup includes musicians who have had #1 top 40 hits, won Grammy awards, performed everywhere from Carnegie Hall to Tokyo, graced musical theatre stages, recorded tracks in studios around the country, and shared the stage with literally dozens of top recording artists over the past five decades. This collection of talent performing together in the same place on the same date will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans of Mahoning Valley’s musical history.

This year’s CBC fundraiser will again prove inviting due to its silent auction offerings. In addition to valuable local items, the auction will contain rare celebrity pieces including a drumhead autographed by Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, autographed sheet music from Maroon 5 and The Eagles, a sketch of Bart Simpson autographed by creator Matt Groenig, and a guitar autographed by Paul McCartney.

Tickets are available at the door for a $30 donation. Proceeds directly benefit CreativeBridge Coalition’s Mahoning Valley projects.
