Pompano Beach, FL, May 15, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Designing Spaces® has launched another Military Makeover to give back to a Purple Heart Hero whose home is in need of a makeover. The premiere episode of “Designing Spaces of Hope - Military Makeover” presented by Nissan will air on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 7:00 a.m. (ET/PT) on Lifetime® TV.

The four-part heart-warming series will chronicle the room-by-room renovations of the Okeechobee, Florida house of injured veteran and Purple Heart recipient 1st Lt. Robert Keefe, Jr., his wife Bianca and their three children.

R. Lee Ermey kicks off the premier episode by introducing 1st Lt. Robert M. Keefe and exploring the backstory of how he and Bianca originally met. Keefe later enlisted in the Marine Corps. During the deployment in Afghanistan as a Platoon Commander, Keefe’s Humvee hit an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) right under his seat, causing severe spine injuries, traumatic brain injury, PTSD, and memory loss which rendered him unable to continue military service.

The Keefe’s 1642 square-foot house’s indoor renovations are made possible thanks to the generous donations of valued partners who teamed up with Designing Spaces:

· Driving the Military Makeover – with Nissan North America
The series was made possible with the support of Nissan North America, presenting sponsor for the third time. Nissan will provide vehicles to distribute products and support all transportation needs including hauling and airport runs throughout the series. Andy Galvin, Manager Product Strategy, will tell about the three models used throughout the makeover: the NV High Roof, NV 3500, and the NV 200. www.nissanusa.com

· The Wounded Warriors of South Florida helped to connect the Keefe family with Designing Spaces. The local organization helps veterans with temporary emergency needs from paying bills to supplying the Keefe’s with an automobile.

Keefe’s family a full Kenmore® Elite Kitchen—range, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher—as well as a Kenmore laundry pair. http://www.searshometownstores.com/.
