Owner Solmon Chowdhury opened Shanti - Taste of India in Dorchester, Massachusetts in 2000 after getting sick of driving all the way into Boston to find authentic Indian cuisine. After adding a second location in Roslindale, MA, and nearly a decade later, Shanti is still praised as "Boston's Best Indian Cuisine." At Shanti, meaning peace in Sanskrit, guests will find more than Indian cuisine; guests can also enjoy Bangledeshi style of cooking i.e. Bhuna, and both locations offer a wide variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Beyond enjoying a unique blend of cuisines, eating at Shanti is an opportunity to learn about a region that is largely unknown to the rest of the world. Shanti is located at 1111 Dorchester Ave. in Dorchester, MA and 4197 Washington St., Roslindale, MA. For more information visit shantiboston.com or email Rokeya@shantiboston.com.
