Empowering Haitian Women and Children

Help empower Haitian women and children. They still live in the earthquake rubble of 2010.

Mt. Vernon, NY, May 31, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Caiman Haiti Foundation Announces YouCaring Crowdfunding Campaign to Help Haitian Women and Children

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, and one that has undergone very recent disasters and tragedies. For Haitian women and children simply surviving can be the biggest of challenges. Caiman Haiti Foundation is a charity who works hard to provide support to these people in need, recently announcing a crowdfunding campaign to raise much needed funds for education.

Most people realize the terrible conditions that exist in Haiti, and the extreme poverty that a huge number of Haitian women and children must suffer through each and every day. The Caiman Haiti Foundation is a charitable organization that exists in order to provide relief to these poor people. Recently the foundation announced a YouCaring campaign to raise money to help accomplish this goal, through developing academic programs and scholarships.

“I want to help anybody from anywhere but without money I can't do it,” commented Gabriel Laine, Founder of the Caiman Haiti Foundation. “We're doing everything we can to raise the necessary funds, and our YouCaring campaign to attract donors is our latest effort. We hope it's a success since each and every donation can help save or change a life for the better.”

According to the foundation, they have set a goal of $15,000 for their campaign, which would allow the foundation to help provide much needed educational opportunities for Haitian women and children. Without this help, it is very unlikely most would ever get to see the chance to better their education at all.

Laine was born and raised in Haiti, and for the last eight years has been leading the fight against poverty, lack of education, and poor health care in the country, funding most of the help he provided out of his own pocket. Without further resources on his own, the idea for the crowdfunding campaign was born.

In addition to financial donations, the Caiman Haiti Foundation also welcomes school supplies; used computers (Pentium 4 or equivalent); projectors; DVD/CD players; classroom chairs and tables; learning/instruction books; t-shirts and pants for boys and girls 5-15 years old; sandals; and used cars.
