Designer Gibran Hamdan Debuts Chambers Bay U.S. Open Inspired Polo Collection by Alial Fital: “Stand Apart”

"Stand Apart" golfwear designer Gibran Hamdan celebrates the vitality of the Chambers Bay U.S. Open with his limited edition "Chambers Bay Inspired Collection" by Seattle-based Alial Fital this month. The rugged terrain of the Chambers Bay golf course and the rugged individualism of Hamdan might just be a perfect match.

Seattle, WA, June 11, 2015 --(PR.com)-- What do golf pros sharpening up their swings for the Chambers Bay U.S. Open and Seattle-based designer, Gibran Hamdan, have in common? Both are setting their sights on celebrating the championship’s first visit to the Pacific Northwest. While the golfer hopefuls address the unique challenges of the rigorous course, Hamdan - who helms the popular golfwear line Alial Fital (AF) - will be offering unique polo shirts inspired by the vitality of the tournament itself.

First looks at the 8-piece Alial Fital Chambers Bay Inspired Collection began June 8 on the AF website’s “Stand Apart” Style Journal. Here are some Style Journal First Look highlights:

June 8: A crisp-looking polo in navy blue with the AF “2 Lion Logo” in red. Hamdan posts that he rarely put logos on garments in the past. However, the tide turned when he observed his 14-month old son getting very excited every time he sees the lions. Hamdan jokes: “That’s how business decisions are made here.”

June 9: Hamdan suggests AF Ambassador Bo Van Pelt select “the Saturday polo” from the Chambers Bay collection in navy blue with collar and cuffs in red, white and blue plaid that reflects “proud American heritage” and will ensure that the seasoned pro “will truly Stand Apart.”

“Stand Apart” has been not only the motto of Alial Fital since its inception, but can also be found in the style of its creator. Hamdan retired from a successful six-year career with the NFL to embark on an entirely new life as a fashion designer. How many football players would walk off the field and sit down to teach themselves to make patterns and sew the designs they saw in their head? That is Gibran Hamdan’s story in a nutshell.

PGA Tour Style Report included Alial Fital in its Dads and Grads Gift Guide issue this month. Greg Monteforte who writes the Style Insider column for the PGA website said, "Alial Fital styles cross demographic lines thanks to their clean aesthetics, unique details and contemporary fits.”

The Chambers Bay Tournament will run from June 18-21. The Alial Fital Chambers Bay Inspired Collection will run this month and until they are sold out. Only 100 are made of each design and will never be reproduced. “When they are gone, they’re gone,” Hamdan said. “You can stand by and watch or you can join the Stand Apart Movement.”

The rugged terrain of the Chambers Bay golf course and the rugged individualism of Hamdan might just be a perfect match.
