NSC’s Access to HE Students Celebrate Their Success

Oswestry, United Kingdom, July 16, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Access to Higher Education (Access to HE) students at North Shropshire College’s (NSC) Oswestry Campus, have recently celebrated their achievements at an awards lunch in Scholars Restaurant. 100% of Access to HE Humanities students are now progressing to University studying a wide range of subjects including Archaeology and History, Primary Teaching, Geography, Ancient History, Philosophy and Event Management.

The Access to HE Health students are also progressing to degree courses in Nursing, Social Work and Occupational Therapy. Access to HE Health student, Eleni Psoma, commented "The Access course has given me the step up I needed to gain a place at University." Jill Cawthray, Access to HE Coordinator, commented on the students’ progress, saying "The Access to HE course can make a real difference; it is a stepping stone for mature students to gain a place in University. Congratulations to the class of 2014-2015, as they enjoy the summer break before progressing to Higher Education."

The course starting in September still has places available. The course is delivered over three days a week with family friendly hours. The course costs just £750 and can be paid in three instalments or applicants who are over 24 can take out a student loan of £3000, this loan is written off should the student progress to Higher Education and achieve a HE qualification.
