Graphic Novelist and Game Developer John Mueller resurfaces with one of the most visually stunning books of 2015, OINK: Heaven’s Butcher

Big Pig Ink, LLC is proud to announce that their crowdfunding campaign for OINK is off to a fantastic start. Mueller, a once prominent cover artist for DC Comics and other publishers all but vanished from the comics scene in 1998 after a prolific start, earning a Harvey Nomination, a Spectrum Award, and being highly sought after for his unique covers.

His creator-owned work for OINK was critically lauded as one of the greatest but often overlooked graphic novels of all time.

Mueller’s roaring comeback began in 2014 with the comic inspired video game Skyshine's Bedlam on Kickstarter which raised over $166,000 from eager gamers. In 2015, he launched the spectacular reboot of his acclaimed series OINK, his first comic work in 17 years which has stunned critics.

"While I didn't catch OINK in the original inception, I can tell you that the book looks absolutely amazing, with some of the most horrific and beautiful artwork I've ever seen in a book." ~Rock! Shock! Pop!

"Every page is a gritty and dark masterpiece worth framing in its own right. It’s nothing short of beautiful." ~Giant Fire Breathing Robot

Mueller meticulously recreated every page from OINK: Heaven’s Butcher, effectively making it an entirely new body of work and it is flooring the critics.

“I didn’t want to just put a new cover on the book with the old art and call it done…OINK and his fans deserved this treatment. I spent five years creating the book and It’s one of the most epic thing I’ve ever done...doing a graphic novel is hard enough, doing it twice is a special kind of madness.”– John Mueller

OINK is pig-human hybrid and member of a slave class in dark city called Heaven. He awakens to a world of insanity built by his masters of science and religion gone mad. When his closest ally and mentor falls victim to the crushing system of oppression, OINK breaks free and starts a journey of self-discovery and carnage that will lead to the darkest corners of Heaven and to the true nature of his own creation. OINK is an allegory of Mueller’s own experience in the public education system, which he calls "A slaughterhouse for children's dreams."

“Yes, Mueller paints a grim world in the pages of Oink, and his story is one that lingers and squirms in the reader’s mind long after the book is finished.” –Geeks of DOOM
