Arlington, TX, December 05, 2007 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, December 8, 2007, Wag Time which is located at 2110 N. Collins, Arlington, Texas will be hosting their first annual Holiday Open House from 11:00am-4:00 pm. Wag Time owners and Sandra Larson, animal communicator are committed to raising awareness around the plight of homeless animals, raising money for local animal shelters and volunteering time to help with community projects.

“Customers appreciate our community involvement and have stepped up to help us in our initiatives when they can.” said Wag Time’s President and General Manager, Christine Umanzor. Wag Time routinely collects items and money for local pet shelters and Umanzor says “Our wonderful customers and associates always come up with items from shelter wish lists.”

“The Holiday Open House idea started as a way to say thanks to our customers and celebrate all the happy, loving homes their pets have. However, the minute we decided on a raffle, we knew the money had to go somewhere other than our own pockets and the Open House quickly evolved into something much bigger.” Umanzor said. Additionally, once all the vendors knew proceeds from this event were going to a local animal shelter, they donated exciting prizes, which upped the stakes in the raffle. “It’s a win-win situation.”

On-site vendors for the Open House include Animal Communicator Sandra Larson, Leeza Lopez of Kookkie’s Kandles, Zenea Hunt selling handmade gourmet dog cookies, Laura Long-Edwards, Kim Morris and other prominent local business women.

Costing just $2 each (or 3 for $5), raffle tickets are on sale now until the day of the event. The drawing will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, December 8, and you need not be present to win. All proceeds from this raffle and a portion of proceeds from vendor sales will be donated to Operation Kindness, the oldest and largest no-kill pet shelter in North Texas.
