Zimmber Raises $2 Million from IDG Ventures, Omidiyars, Sherpalo and Mohandas Pai

Mumbai based Rejuvenate Solutions has raised Rs 12.8 crore from investors IDG Ventures India, Omidyar Network, Sherpalo Ventures and Mohandas Pai.

Mumbai, India, August 01, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Mumbai based on demand home services start-up, Zimmber raised about $2 million (INR 12.8 Cr) in its first round of funding from a clutch of venture capital investors, a list that includes IDG Ventures India, Omidyar Network, Sherpalo Ventures and Mohandas Pai. This is just after Zimmber raised $400,000 (INR 2.5 Cr) from InMobi’s core founding team, including CEO Naveen Tewari. Zimmber plans to expand its footsteps to tier 2 and tier 3 cities in the upcoming months.

Zimmber is quite distinct from other startups, so much so that it trains and assigns all handy-men before signing them up on the platform. In India, this segment has received great VC interest, though there is a fervid movement with more than 69 home solutions firms being founded in 2014. Speaking about funding, Anubhab Goel, CEO, Zimmber, said:

“We are building a world class product that will revolutionise the startup scene in the daily maintenance of households. Investments from such great businesses such as InMobi endorse our capabilities and help us in adding value as a technology firm." He further stated, "We plan on using the proceeds towards making senior-level hires on the technology front to further build on our product, expand into newer markets, as well as enter new categories."

Zimmber was set up in 2014 by Anubhab Goel, Gaurav Shrivastava and Amit Kumar — Zimmber provides home services like home painting, AC services, plumbing, carpentry, and home cleaning, to mention a few.

Before this round of funding, Praveen Sinha (Co-founder and MD – Jabong) and Satyam Bansal (Director Mobile App Distribution and Strategic Alliances – Flipkart) also invested in the company.
