Open Heart Surgery - a Multi-Sensory Art Installation of Personal Transformation

Female artist creating new visual language to help decode and balance thoughts, emotions and unconscious behavior, promoting personal transformation. The free gallery event to be open from December 7, 2015 through the 31st in New York, NY.

New York, NY, August 07, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The project was launched on July 29th, on Kickstarter and runs for 30 days. The free gallery event to be open from December 7, 2015 through the 31st in New York, NY.

To culminate 2 1/2 highly productive years of work in painting and sculpture, Emily Fischer Field set out to combine the feeling of the holidays with all that people don’t usually celebrate about life in a multi-sensory installation, asking the question:

“What if we honored or even celebrated difficult or heartbreaking experiences for the transformative power that they have?”

The show suggests that maybe people's hearts would open up just a little bit more to life and all it’s baffling combinations, whether they taste like medicine or cake.
