Texas Bourbon Release: Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Bone Spirits Distillery
Bone Spirits Distillery is launching it Bone Bourbon throughout Texas in August. Hitting retail shelves and on-premise accounts for fall. The farm-to-bottle distillery is introducing its long-awaited corn and rye mash bourbon.
Austin, TX, August 07, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Bone Spirits Distillery is excited to announce the Texas release of its newest brand, Bone Bourbon, a Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Bone Bourbon, is named for “bare bones, made with no gimmicks and no smoke and mirrors.”
“It's an exciting time for bourbon lovers. Fortunately for Texans, distillers who actually distill from raw grains, who had the time, space, resources and patience to barrel large volumes of spirits many years ago and continue to do so, can finally share with the world. For nearly five years we've worked very hard to create our brands from scratch using local grains. Bone Bourbon has no 'barrel equivalencies,' no rare or exotic blends and not one ounce of Indiana or Kentucky in it. It's proudly Texan and has the unique vanilla spice from the rye with a soft caramel note found from corn and charred barrels,” said Jeff Peace, president and owner of Bone Spirits I LLC.
Made from a mash-bill of local Texas corn and Oklahoma rye, Bone Bourbon is characterized by its smooth and rich taste with hints of mellow vanilla and rye mocha. It develops this profile from the years each of the barrels have spent maturing in the extreme Texas seasons. Unfiltered and heart cut straight from the still. “Early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. There are some great brands out there making everything from scratch and we applaud and thank them. It's finally our time to introduce a competitively priced exceptional bourbon with a true Texas heritage,” added Peace.
The new Bone Bourbon has a suggested retail price of $45 for 750ml available in select on-premise accounts; hitting most retailers throughout Texas starting mid-August. Glazer's distributes Bone Bourbon. Signature cocktails include: a classic Old-Fashioned, fresh Whiskey Sour, and the Scofflaw.
