Napa, CA, August 07, 2015 --(PR.com
)-- The crew at Napa Valley Poop Patrol donated their services on Sunday, August 2nd to help clean up the streets of downtown Napa during the Walk for Animals event.
Hundreds of Napan dog owners and their four-legged furry friends flocked to the streets of downtown Napa to raise money for Napa Humane Society. Streets were closed off and signs of local businesses that financially supported the event where posted along the route. Canopies lined the street in front of Veterans Park, offering such free services as microchip scans, photo buttons and goody bags with coupons, freebies and offers from local businesses.
The Walk for Animal event was concluded with a kissing, costume and trick contest where attendees could show off their adorable and talented pups. Napans peppered the grounds of Veterans Park to watch the activities as the temperatures rose. Raffled prizes were awarded to the winners of the contests as the crowd cheered on.
Stacey Lloyd explains, “Napa Humane Society provides low-cost services to animal owners in the Napa Valley. Their services keep the animal population down and our pets healthy at an affordable cost. My business will always step up to help support their mission in any way that we can. It is a pleasure to be a part of this event.” Lloyd’s son, Jacob, added, “There wasn’t much poop to pick up. The walkers were pretty good at picking it up, but I’m happy to be here to help.”
