Columbus, OH, December 06, 2007 --(PR.com
)-- A “storm is brewing” in the world of bowling and the forecast is for fun. Storm Bowling Products has agreed to join forces with Beer Tubes.com to offer the unique, patented Bowling Ball Beer Tube via the newly redesigned Stormbowling.com website. Storm also plans to use the Bowling Ball Tubes as promotional gifts.
“We were intrigued by the unique innovation of this beverage dispensing technology in conjunction with the sport of bowling,” said Hank Boomershine, Vice President of Sales for Storm Bowling.
A Beer Tube is a 100-ounce beverage dispenser with a sports-themed base that keeps beverages colder than a traditional pitcher. The Beer Tube is easy to fill and easier to enjoy, with a removable tube for easy fill-up and a non-drip spout for easy dispensing. The Bowling Ball Beer Tube stands approximately 3.5 feet high and the bowling ball base weighs about 8 pounds.
“We’d heard about the ‘tube’ concept and we thought that putting the tube in a sports-themed base would be fun. We had a prototype made out of an old alley ball and the rest is history. The reaction from everyone so far has been amazing,” said Dave Stein, president of Beer Tubes.
The Tubes have increased bar profits for the bars, clubs and restaurants currently using them through higher profit margins and increased draft beer and fountain soda sales. "We've discovered that Beer Tubes are not just a novelty - they're our new marketing advantage,” said Tim Voss, Proprietor of Sequoia Pro Bowl in Columbus, OH. “Bowlers love the tubes and they are adding a lift to our program.”
The Bowling Ball Tube was the initial inspiration, but BeerTubes.com also offers other sports-themed bases including billiards (8-ball and 9-ball), football, baseball and basketball. “We’re getting orders from bowling centers, pool halls, sports bars and even minor league baseball teams looking for a way to enhance the fan experience,” said Stein.
The “buzz” that the Beer Tube is generating has proprietors discovering that these are not only a functional product but also a great marketing tool to increase business. “Some places are using them as tournament trophies, some are running specials on the tubes during league play, but everyone has indicated that their bowlers love the Bowling Ball Tubes,” said Stein.
