San Francisco, CA, August 20, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Gorilly, the leader in providing shoppers with the opportunity to try great products before they buy, is proud to announce its new partnership with Nolen Niu, a leader in American Furniture Design and American Manufacturing. Nolen Niu, the designer behind the internationally acclaimed brand Nolen Niu Inc., will serve as an ambassador for Gorilly. “It’s a perfect match. I have a deep love for design, but my entrepreneurial spirit is the engine of my success. The furniture industry is changing. Providing alternative tactile outlets where people can experience my furniture is essential. My company has been doing this for years, and Gorilly is a streamlined, more efficient way for people to see and experience my designs first hand,” says Niu.

A design virtuoso, Nui has been featured in such prestigious publications as Esquire, The New York Times, Dwell, Surface and Z!nk amongst others. His pieces are coveted by Hollywood’s elite. His career took off when he was one of only a few select American designers to be awarded the opportunity to exhibit at the 2006 Salone Satellite Milan Furniture Fair. He was also one of ten designers chosen to be showcased at the ICFF Studio / Bernhardt Design joint venture exhibit, a juried event aimed at supporting emerging talent. The company has become well known for its timeliness, quality, and craftsmanship. Niu was recently a judge/expert on Spike TV’s Framework, a furniture design and construction reality show, hosted by Common. Currently, Niu designs and manufactures all his designs in LA.

With Gorilly, Niu will use selected patrons as a powerful yet accessible sales force. “I’m excited about increasing my showroom presence. People all over the world enjoy my furniture, and these locations can now act as showrooms for my pieces. I’m also thrilled to be giving back to my customers,” says Niu. Gorilly Co-Founder Hollis Kelley is honored to have Niu on board, stating, "When I met Nolen I knew we had found our guy. He embodies everything that Gorilly is about, great design, innovative craftsmanship and transparency in the manufacturing process. It’s the ideal fit."

For those new to Gorilly and “showrooming,” here’s how it works: people who own products from a participating product manufacturer (such as Nolen Niu) list the products that they would like to show to others on Gorilly.com, (in return for earning a commission on any resulting sales) – these “sales” people are called Product Gorillys. Shoppers search Gorilly.com to find the products they want, which have been posted by a Product Gorilly near them. The two connect in person, and at their convenience, just about anywhere – a hotel lobby, local coffee shop, dog park, or café, to discuss and experience the product. ANY location can be a showroom with Gorilly. All it takes is two people, a great product, and a location of your choosing. The Product Gorilly provides the customer with an exclusive online promo code for purchasing their desired item directly on the brand’s website, and the Product Gorilly receives a commission from the resulting sale. It’s a win-win-win: customers get a tactile experience, Product Gorillys make money for showing their favorite products, and brands love it because they are able to leverage their current customers to obtain both new customers and future Product Gorillys.
