New Term, New You at NSC

Oswestry, United Kingdom, August 23, 2015 --(PR.com)-- North Shropshire College (NSC) is starting the new Academic Year with over 35 new part-time qualifications and leisure courses, the courses will be starting in the weeks commencing 7th and 14th September. The courses are ideal for anyone who fancies a change of career, developing a new skill or expanding their horizons.

New Qualifications on offer include HND’s in Business, Equine and Interactive Media, ILM qualifications in Leadership and Management, Counselling, Floristry and Personal Training to name but a few! At Walford and Shipley Campuses, the Level 2 Diploma in Veterinary Care Assistants is a new part-time course which has already proved popular with new applicants. Some courses are free for people who meet relevant funding criteria.

Andy Holland, Director of Business and Community Development, says, "The new courses represent exciting times for the College and its community, all have been offered in response to direct demand. Studying part-time opens up new opportunities and new career pathways for all involved."

There is a huge variety of leisure courses available; many courses such as History of Art, Pottery and Dog Handling are popular annually. New leisure courses include; Baby Massage, Plumbing Skills, Folk, Fiddle, Flute and Mandolin, Small Animal Care, Basic Motorcycle, Social Media in Business and many, many more. It is now easier to join leisure courses at NSC with the new ‘Book Online’ facility which allows participants to pay on-line at www.nsc.ac.uk/part-time-courses/book-online-.

Our Rural Skills Centre at Walford Campus offers a range of legislative tests throughout the year, with Grandfather Rights for the use of pesticides expiring in November; spraying courses are available to those affected.
