The application deadline for Career Step’s scholarship for mothers going back to school is Monday, August 31.

Provo, UT, August 26, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Career Step, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, is accepting applications for its scholarship for mothers who are returning to school through Monday, August 31. The scholarship winner will receive $2,000 to use toward higher education at the institution of their choice.

“Our mission at Career Step is to provide the education and training people need to advance their careers and gain meaningful employment,” said Steve Tober, Career Step President and CEO. “As part of that mission, we are proud to offer this scholarship to help deserving mothers achieve their career goals and better provide for themselves and their families.”

The Moms in School Scholarship is awarded three times annually, offering winners $2,000 to use at the university, college, or vocational school of their choice. The scholarship application is available at CareerStep.com/scholarships and requires applicants to submit an 800 to 1000-word written or video essay on how they plan to use their education to benefit their families and communities.

“Quality education has the capacity to change lives as it provides individuals and families with opportunities for increased financial stability and security,” said Jerolyn Robertson, Career Step Vice President of Academics. “Our scholarship program enables us to provide this opportunity to deserving mothers who are striving to improve their lives.”

Career Step will award several additional scholarships through the end of 2015: a $2,000 scholarship to any institution for a recently graduated high school senior, two $2,000 scholarships for mothers returning to school and a $2,000 scholarship for a military service member or spouse. These scholarships have varying deadlines; the next to be awarded will be the Moms in School Scholarship, which will accept applications through August 31.
