"In and Out of Love," the extraordinary debut album from Bad Boy recording artist Cheri Dennis, is quickly shaping up as one of the year's most exciting success stories. Released exclusively 3 weeks ago on the iTunes Store – three months before its physical release on February 26, 2008 – the collection instantly reached the top 10 on iTunes' "Top R&B/Soul Albums" sales chart. "In and Out of Love" marks the first-ever major label R&B album to receive a three-month digital exclusive release via iTunes.

iTunes' exclusive release of "In and Out of Love" was heralded by the selection of the Rodney Jerkins-produced album track, "Remind You," as the iTunes Store's "Single of the Week." The track has already proven a major hit, with nearly a quarter of a million free downloads thus far.

"I am extremely happy and proud of the Cheri Dennis album," says Harve Pierre, President of Bad Boy Entertainment and Co-Executive Producer of "In and Out of Love." "It's been a long time coming and the timing couldn't be better with this enormous iTunes promotion. Cheri will finally have the visibility that she needs and be recognized as an incredible soul singer."

A major-market promotional tour will follow the album's release, with Cheri scheduled for a whirlwind of radio and press appearances across the country through December.

Along with the aforementioned tracks, "In and Out of Love" is highlighted by the much-anticipated new single, "Portrait of Love (Feat. Yung Joc and Gorilla Zoe)." The track – produced by Soul Diggaz (Beyoncé, Mary J Blige, Britney Spears) – will impact at multi-format radio outlets nationwide on December 3rd, with the just-completed companion video – directed by Petro (Rufus Wainwright, Kelly Clarkson) – slated to hit the iTunes Store and all major video outlets the week of November 20th.

With her striking looks and knock-you-out vocals, Dennis was discovered and immediately signed in New York by Bad Boy founder and CEO Sean "Diddy" Combs himself after impressing him with an impromptu live performance. Cheri's first single, "I Love You" – produced by Ryan Leslie (Beyoncé, Snoop Dogg, Cassie, JoJo) – proved one of 2006's most popular R&B releases, reaching the Top 40 on Billboard's "Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles & Tracks" chart.

Dennis followed that out-of-the-box success with "Ooh La La," which was featured as the theme song to MTV's smash series, Making The Band 3. In addition, Cheri has appeared on a wide range of albums from such superstars as Diddy, Danity Kane, Faith Evans, Ma$e, and Yung Joc, all the while continuing work on her Bad Boy debut album.

Close to two years in the making, "In and Out of Love" sees Cheri Dennis revealing herself to be much more than just a powerhouse vocalist. The singer co-wrote many of the album's songs, working in collaboration with some top studio superstars, including Timbaland (Justin Timberlake, M.I.A., Kanye West), Mario Winans (Diddy, Whitney Houston, The Notorious B.I.G.), and others.
Cheri has a rawness that's all her own. She's journeyed a long way to get where she is but this is only the beginning. And she promises, this debut not withstanding, that she has much more to offer. She stays passionate in her delivery and crisp vocals and, the best thing about her (not including her funky, high-end downtown fashion sense) is that she's a new artist with a real sense of self. She doesn't gush over folk, not Diddy (even though she calls him a legendary leader)—not anyone. Instead, Cheri remains focused on work, her work. "This is all I do, I'm focused" reveals the songstress. And after this is completed, we ask, "what then?" "I look forward to more, and more," She answers "I expect to have a long career in this industry."
