Metamorphosis Opera Theater Presents Greek Tragedy

Minneapolis, MN, September 11, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Metamorphosis Opera Theater will present its first fully staged opera, Médée by Darius Milhaud, on Sept 18th and 19th at 7:30pm. The performance will feature talented musicians with strong ties to Minnesota. The score has been beautifully re-orchestrated for flute, cello, and piano to create an evening of high drama and intimacy. Milhaud’s setting of the story of Medea is full of infidelity, revenge, and murder.

Médée will be performed in French with English supertitles projected at the Lab Theater in Minneapolis. Tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for students.

Metamorphosis Opera Theater focuses on bringing people together in a learning community focusing on music and the arts. Using an interdisciplinary approach in the presentation of music, Artistic and Musical Director, James Barnett leads the organization in the exploration of opera, musical theater, and art song.
