Los Angeles, CA, September 16, 2015 --(PR.com
)-- Three weeks ago, alternative progressive rock band, Lucid Fly, launched a campaign on Indiegogo, a crowdfunding website, to help raise funds to complete their first full length album, ‘Building Castles In Air’.
As the website says, Indiegogo “empowers people to activate the global community to make ideas happen.”
Lucid Fly has received the support of a generous widespread community, and managed to raise 30% of their goal in the first 48 hours. With half the campaign still to go before it closes on October 2nd, 2015, they still need to reach their goal of $12,500 to get their album mixed, mastered and duplicated.
The band commented, “We are overwhelmed with the response and the support from our fans who want to help us realize our dreams. We feel very fortunate because this entire process has allowed us to create our music how we envision and to get our fans involved in the project. This is the biggest push we’ve ever done for Lucid Fly…it’s our best effort in hopes of creating the best product possible. We can’t wait to share the new music with our fans and supporters who have been there along the way.”
The album, titled ‘Building Castles In Air’, is set to feature ten songs and will be launched in early 2016.
Lucid Fly has established stretch goals that include adding a marketing campaign, and touring in support of the release, if they reach upwards of $35,000.
Fans who Pre-Order ‘Building Castles In Air’ will be rewarded for their contributions with everything from limited edition merch, unique “space themed” rewards (in honor of their band name), personal fan experiences and more. All physical reward packages will also include an autographed copy of the upcoming album.
Their CDs, ‘Adapting To Gravity’, ‘The Escape Stage’, and ‘Stasis’ are currently available through their website (www.lucidfly.com) and through online retailers including Amazon.com, iTunes music store, and CDBaby.com.
