Fritsch Selects Infor to Optimize Manufacturing Project Management

Bakery Machine Manufacturer Chooses Infor ERP LN for Project Management Features and Global Capabilities

Atlanta, GA, December 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Infor today announced that Fritsch GmbH, a global manufacturer of bakery machines, will deploy Infor ERP LN to optimize manufacturing project management. Fritsch chose Infor ERP LN for its integrated project management functionality, which will enable the company to track the status of customer orders and service projects, and improve transparency across its key business processes. Additionally, Infor ERP LN offers the international scalability that Fritsch needs to service its customers across the world.

In searching for a new ERP system with comprehensive project management capabilities, Fritsch conducted market research and evaluated vendors, narrowing the search down to Infor. During a two-day workshop, Infor demonstrated the business-specific functionality and manufacturing experience of Infor ERP LN. Fritsch gave Infor the best evaluation marks for its project and service management.

With Infor ERP LN, Fritsch expects to gain real time insight into projects and resources, and consolidate disparate data sources. This reduces duplication of work and potential errors, resulting in shorter project lifecycle times. Additionally, Fritsch sought a solution to accelerate sales processes and quickly respond to customer inquiries. Infor ERP LN addresses this need with functionality for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), allowing sales representatives to generate professional and detailed sales documents for customers.

”Our key users played a crucial role in selecting the solution that best suited our requirements. They determined that Infor ERP LN featured the best integrated project tracking and management capabilities, which can support our growth locally and globally,” says Reinhold Danzig, Kaufmännischer Leiter at Fritsch.

”Infor ERP LN provides industrial equipment and machinery companies like Fritsch with built in functionality that reduces cost of ownership,” says Hermann Stehlik, vice president marketing EMEA for Infor. “The solution’s modular architecture and global, multi-site capabilities enable Infor ERP LN to scale to meet their needs for the long term.”

Fritsch will initially implement the accounting module of Infor ERP LN, followed by the logistics and service modules. The existing MES and CAD systems will be integrated with Infor’s solution.

Infor ERP LN provides business-specific functionality in a scalable, multi-language, open systems platform for manufacturers in industries such as industrial equipment, high-tech and electronics and metal fabrication. Features include reporting and auditing for cycle counts and inventory adjustments; optimized invoice sorting and composing options; improved consolidation of multiple purchase requisitions in one order; and new reports on linked purchase and sales orders.
