Stories for Children Magazine Announces Two New Team Members

Ivins, UT, December 12, 2007 --( Stories for Children Magazine, which just published its ninth issue December 2007, announced the addition of two new SFC Team staff. VS Grenier, Editor of Stories for Children stated: “SFC has been growing with each new issue. I never dreamed that I would have a staff working with me each month. After bringing Gayle Jacobson-Huset on as my Assistant Editor and Selena Spain as Copy Editor, it seemed only a matter of time before we needed more help in other areas to keep the magazine growing. I’m excited to say that Wendy Dickson has accepted the position as Assistant Submissions Editor and Chrissy Fanslau has accepted as Art Director/Illustration Editor.”

Wendy Dickson lives in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada with her husband and two needy cats, Merlin and P.J. She has two grown daughters and has recently entered the world of Grandma-hood. Wendy is a member of the Western Canada chapter of SCBWI and is a graduate of The Institute of Children’s Literature. Her first two acceptances appear in the January 08 issue of Stories for Children Magazine. She also has an article appearing in an upcoming issue of Once Upon A Time.

Chrissy Fanslau lives in interior Alaska with her wonderful family and a loveable Newfie. Chrissy studied Anthropology and Art at the University of Alaska, where she earned her B.A. Degree. Her artwork has been published by Playmore Publishers, Fairbanks Daily News Miner, and Stories for Children Magazine. She’s also illustrated greeting card collections, advertisements, posters, Christmas ornaments, and more for various clients and has a background in graphic design. In her free time, Chrissy enjoys sketching, movies with her family, and writing Young Adult fiction.

Stories for Children Magazine was started by VS Grenier in April 2007. An on-line magazine for children ages 3 to 12 years old. Although Stories for Children Magazine isn’t a paying market, those who contribute stories, artwork, or their time as editors believe that sharing stories with children is much more rewarding.
