Media Advisory Gaps Kuala Lumpur Conference 2015: Meeting the Global Challenge of Building Equitable Knowledge Economies

The Global Access to Postsecondary Education (GAPS) Initiative and Sunway University are collaborating with preeminent educators, experts, policymakers and funders working on the issue of global access to postsecondary education with a specific focus on Asia. On October 5-8, they will present a conference on the opportunities and challenges that access to postsecondary education presents for a diverse student population, as well as discuss evidence and highlight solutions that can lead to greater success. Participants representing 32 countries are expected.

Along with research, examples and expertise, the conference will feature the presentation of the first GAPS Students and Young People’s Award for Furthering Access to Postsecondary Education. Over the three days, participants will consider topics such as why access to postsecondary education matters and who is responsible in Asia and the South Pacific, how to combine excellence and equity in postsecondary education, and students access and success. http://www.gaps-education.org/world-congress-kuala-lumpur-2015/
