Technetix Announces Agreement with ARRIS to Market Co-Branded Broadband Cable Products

Technetix has entered an exclusive deal with ARRIS TeleWire Supply division of ARRIS Group to expand its high quality Regal® brand portfolio of drop materials. The newly branded Regal by Technetix (RT™) series of splitters, taps, in-home active and in-home networking products will include the patent pending, Technetix Ingress Safe™ technology, which effectively reduces subscriber return channel ingress noise in broadband cable networks.

Englewood, CO, December 13, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Technetix Group Ltd, the leading European broadband cable and telecommunications equipment supplier announces today that it has entered into an engineering and co-marketing agreement with the ARRIS TeleWire Supply division of ARRIS Group, Inc. (ARRS). ARRIS entered the exclusive agreement with Technetix to expand its high quality Regal® brand portfolio of drop materials. The newly branded Regal by Technetix (RT™) series of splitters, taps, in-home active and in-home networking products will include the patent pending, Technetix Ingress Safe™ technology, which effectively reduces subscriber return channel ingress noise in broadband cable networks.

“This is an exciting new product suite being introduced into the American cable industry,” said Bob Puccini, ARRIS TeleWire Supply President. “This alliance has created the new Regal by Technetix product line that will change the way our customers battle ingress noise in the future. This is the only product of its kind in the industry and we look forward to showing our customers its clear advantages.”

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to combine our Technetix Ingress Safe™ technology with the Regal® brand while leveraging ARRIS’ broad reach in sales, marketing and logistical support in our target markets,” said Paul Broadhurst, Technetix Group CEO. “Technetix has an eighteen year history of successfully supplying innovative solutions to cable operators throughout Europe resulting in reduced operating expenditures. We are excited about bringing these solutions to the United States.”

Ingress noise causes cable operators increased service calls and truck rolls, and is a serious problem in the upstream spectrum of most CATV networks, causing degradation of valuable available bandwidth and modem outages. “Ingress noise is a problem in the cable industry that interferes with the high value Data, Voice over IP, Video on Demand, and Switched Digital Video services offered by many operators today,” said Tom Williams, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for ARRIS TeleWire Supply. “As broadband service delivery has increased in complexity, we are constantly seeking new products and innovations to tackle the challenges our customers face every day, and the Technetix Ingress Safe™ technology fits well into our philosophy. We look forward to embracing this advanced solution as part of the Regal® line, which has a broadband industry legacy of high quality and reliability.”

“The Ingress Safe technology has shown a 4dB to 6dB improvement in the carrier to noise ratio when deployed in fifty percent of the subscriber drops in a node,” said Rod Peery, President of Technetix Inc. “The ARRIS/Technetix alliance is a win-win for the MSOs in North America, combining a great technology with a highly respected cable supplier - we are excited to share the value of this partnership in the coming months."
