Local Tea Party Produces and Releases Television Ad

In an historic act, the Manassas Tea Party has created and is blanketing area cable television with a Public Service Announcement (PSA) ad. Appearing over 500 times on 20 major networks in Northern Virginia in October, the simple yet inspiring ad leverages a diverse cadre of everyday Virginians reciting a portion of the Preamble of the Declaration of Independence to convey a message that you’re not alone in caring that we’re losing the things that made America such a great country.

Prince William County, VA, October 08, 2015 --(PR.com)-- In what has been termed “liberty-art,” the Manassas Tea Party (MTP), a 501(c)4 non-profit organization which just celebrated its fifth anniversary, has in an historic act created and just released on area cable television a Public Service Announcement (PSA) commercial. Appearing during the normal viewing day throughout October, 2015 on both Comcast & Verizon cable providers in the greater Prince William and Fauquier County areas, the ad will have a significant presence airing over 500 times on nearly 20 different major networks including Fox News, Fox Business, CNBC, CNN, HGTV, History, The Food Network, Discovery, The Weather Channel, TNT, Spike, USA, Animal Planet, The Golf Channel, Comcast Sports Network, ESPN2, DIY, Hallmark and MASN networks.

“We wanted to reach a wider audience with a message of encouragement to our neighbors who are watching their constitutional rights being be eroded by both parties in Washington. There’s a natural tendency to feel like you’re the only one who cares that we’re losing the things that made America such a great country. We wanted to send them a message of hope and that they are not alone,” said Manassas Tea Party Chairman Dan Arnold.

The simple yet inspiring one minute PSA casts a diverse cadre of real, freedom loving Virginians in different life settings or noteworthy locations reciting a portion of the Preamble of the Declaration of Independence. By reprising a few sentences of our country’s founders, the non-political message of the PSA reminds viewers of those truths and rights granted to all Americans. And through this broad messaging campaign, the TV spot says a lot about the MTP organization.

“This is certainly a significant achievement for our group, but more importantly we see this PSA as an effective way to carry out our mission to inform about issues of the day, influence friends and neighbors to engage, and inspire those around us with a message of hope,” said Arnold.

The Manassas Tea Party releasing a commercial is nearly unprecedented and certainly noteworthy as historically very few local, independent Tea Party groups have ever done so. In typical Tea Party grass roots fashion, MTP’s PSA was entirely organically sourced, from raising its own funds for the air time to leveraging the talents of its members and a few friends for all aspects of the PSA from concept to airing, a one and one-half year effort. However the group was fortunate to have as a Board Member Greg Letiecq, who owns a Manassas film production company, NOVA Digital and donated his services to produce the PSA.
