The City of Brotherly Love Welcomes the Image City

Philadelphia, PA, December 13, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Rochester, New York’s premier independent film company Discreet Charm Productions teams with Philadelphia’s own Fortress for the Arts this weekend for a multimedia event. Solstice—Mulitmedia Expressions takes place on Saturday, December 15th at 7pm until midnight at the Fortress for the Arts headquarters—221 Glenwood Ave, fourth floor. Along with musical guests, dance performances, photography and art exhibits, Discreet Charm will show several of its short films and will have DVDs for sale, as well information regarding its upcoming feature film project Sleep Shift.

Fortress’ founder Kat Reilly and Charm’s Neal Dhand, both Philadelphia residents and independent artists, met via their desire to form an alliance—a way for local artists to support one another. The Solstice event marks their first cooperative venture. “It’s an opportunity for artists to meet, network, and enjoy some independent media,” says Dhand. Currently run by Neal Dhand and Scott Lancer out of Rochester, NY, Discreet Charm focuses on narrative development for psychological, neo-noir, and thriller based cinematic material. It also produces music videos for local as well as regional artists.
