PhotographyCorner.com Announces Contest Corner Challenge #43: Holiday Alphabetography

Contest Corner Challenge #43: Alphabetography is the Latest Contest Challenge at www.PhotographyCorner.com, which asks photographers to photograph objects that look like letters, and stitch them together to create a “holiday” word.

Barrie, Ontario, Canada, December 13, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Photography Corner ( www.PhotographyCorner.com ) has announced a new Contest Corner Challenge open to all members of the popular photography community. The latest challenge asks photographers to photography everyday objects that look like letters of the alphabet, and then stitch them together to create a “holiday” word (like Christmas, lights, Jesus, Hanukkah, wreath, love, peace, joy, etc). A challenge winner will be chosen after a five-day voting period by PhotographyCorner.com members when the contest ends on December 24th, 2007. The site began offering Contest Corner Challenges in July 2004, and new challenges are issued approximately fifteen times per year. The prize for the current challenge is $200 Gift Certificate for any service at PsPrint.com.

"You ever notice that some objects kind of look like letters? Like the brim of a mug looks like an 'O' or the top of that roof makes the letter 'A', or even a stick in the shape of the letter 'Y?'" stated Tim L. Walker, owner and administrator of PhotographyCorner.com. "This contest is unique in that is asks the photographers to photograph these objects that look like letters, and put them together to create a holiday word in the form of several photographs stitched together. Not only will the entries be judged on the chosen word, but also the quality of the 'collection' of photographs, not just on 1 photograph."

Photographers who join PhotographyCorner.com have the ability to enter one photograph for each of the Contest Corner Challenges. In an effort to make the contests fair for all members, only photographs taken during the time of the contest can be entered, and only minor post-production photo manipulation can be used.

Contest Corner Challenges at www.PhotographyCorner.com are issued to site members in the community’s forum. Only Premiere Members of Photography Corner (requires a yearly or lifetime subscription) are eligible to win some of the prizes, but all members of the site are always invited to submit photographs to the contest and to participate in the five-day voting window to vote on contest winners and discuss submissions after they have all been received.
