Coloured File Holders from Detectamet Can Save Lives

MAC Clinical Research bought Detectamet’s new wall mountable file holders to save lives. In a rare medical emergency, the correct information is instantly ready to travel in the ambulance with the patient. The new red, yellow, blue, green and black holders match the colour identities of the Wards where volunteers take part in trials of new drugs.

York, United Kingdom, October 22, 2015 --(PR.com)-- MAC Clinical Research, a UK company specialising in neuroscience research has found another new use for Detectamet’s wall mountable file holders. They have just bought red, yellow, blue, green and black versions to hold emergency files. The colours coincide with the colour identities of the Wards in which volunteers are placed to take part in trials of new drugs.

In the rare event of a medical emergency the correct information will be immediately ready for use when the patient is transferred for emergency treatment. The information is immediately available and saves critical time when rapid lifesaving action is needed.

“I have been searching for file holders like these for some time and everyone I spoke to told me they were not available in the variety of colours or had to be bought in large quantities," said Charlotte Chadwick who is Head of the Early Phase Unit with MAC. “These coloured file pockets are exactly what we need to hold accurate time saving information.”

The resilient File Holders are available in nine colours so they can be used in a wide variety of applications. They are especially useful in food processing areas because they are made from detectable materials that can be identified by metal and X-Ray inspection equipment and rejected.

“We produce metal detectable products to improve food safety,” said James Chrismas, Detectamet’s MD. “To help to reduce the risks to in a clinical medical research emergency is a real bonus.”

By combining the coloured File Holder with Detectamet’s matching coloured Ring Binder or Clipboards an organisation’s Safety Officer can make even better provisions for emergency action. For more challenging environments Detectamet just has launched a range of powder coated coloured versions using stainless steel. For more information contact s.smith at detectamet.com.
