New Publication from Stroke Survivor Bob Guns

Pittsburg, PA, October 29, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Bob Guns has been slammed, and slammed again. It seems as if he has been hit with just about every malady that can befall a person. Among other illnesses, he’s had a stroke requiring brain surgery, prostate cancer, brain seizures, surgery to correct a bulging disc, tinnitus, and severe hearing loss. Yet through it all, he has chosen to fight back, to recover, regroup and improve his life. What’s more, he has done it with humor and style.

"In Rewire Your Brain, Rewire Your Life," Guns’ bestselling 2008 handbook for stroke survivors and their caregivers, he detailed positive, concrete steps that sufferers can take to reclaim their lives. "In Slammed Again!" He takes a more humorous approach to facing up to and fighting through the many ailments that we all may face as we age. The first section of the book is called “The Heavier Stuff” in which Guns discusses reinventing yourself and building a new everyday life despite your troubles. But he quickly moves on to “The Lighter Stuff” where he relates stories from his own experience about moving forward and getting things done.

Bob Guns has worked with the American Stroke Association as a ‘You’re the Cure’ volunteer advocate and started a stroke support group in Mooresville, NC. He’s been dealing with an onslaught of ill health, and every time he picks himself up Bob gets right back into the fray. He’s an inspiration to everyone who’s been slammed and felt as if they couldn’t go on. "Slammed Again!" is an entertaining lesson about playing the hand you’re dealt and making a success of life no matter what.
