)-- Angel Katherine Taormina's Rose Room Productions is taking filmmaking to the next level with its upcoming feature film The Saints of the Rue Scribe. While the pre production is wrapping, they are still on the hunt for the leading man who will help bring the production to life this spring. Rose Room Productions and Angel Katherine Taormina are leading the way, and we will soon find out who the all-important Joseph Charpentier will be.
Angel Katherine Taormina has been working in entertainment for over fifteen years, but this is Rose Room Productions' first foray into feature film. The Saints of the Rue Scribe is an uncompromising telling of a true story of everyday heroes and villains, the lives they lead, and the core of what makes them tick. A story that took place over one hundred years ago has just as much relevance today as when the events first took place. Nobody made Joseph and Marie Charpentier household names. Nobody ever cared on a global scale about who they were or what their day-to-day lives consisted of. But the seemingly small deeds they performed were, by a handful of people, taken to heart, and their gratefulness caused them to pass the story of the Charpentiers down through the years. And Rose Room Productions believes that everyone needs to hear their story.
Once upon a time in Paris, a couple spent their lives selflessly working for the good of others, even when their friends made themselves enemies in favor of their destruction. At the risk of their own peril, they reached out to aid those who wished to harm them and, in the process, thwarted a city-wide scandal before it could harm or embarrass the city they loved. Those who looked down upon them eventually looked up to them, won over by their kindness. It is the kind of everyman story that holds still today- the falsely accused couple refusing to be victimized, the city and its refugees struggling to find its way after the ravages of war, the man lashing out against the only good things in his life when his family loses all its power and money and he realizes he is being manipulated by his own brother, the peace-seeker trapped in gray-matter, and the traumatized war veteran faced with reconciling with the past. It is 1881 Paris. It is 2015. It is anywhere and any time humans have existed on this earth. It is any person with a heartbeat. It is life, and the choices we face. The Saints of the Rue Scribe is a tale of choices and consequences and of how one simple action truly did change lives for the better.
Marie was an opera actress, Joseph a carpenter, yet, at their core being, they were so much more. Looking at them would not reveal any special trait. Yet, after a deeper look into the souls of this couple, one could see something special. It is that unique brand of courage that Angel Katherine Taormina captured in her novel and that Rose Room Productions is bringing to the big screen.
Pre-production is underway of a film that promises to be a romance for the senses. It is the Grand Era. It is Paris. It is opulence. It is romance. It is violence. It is honesty. Telling it like it is without pulling any punches, Rose Room Productions promises to go to extremes unheard of in feature film in order to be sure that every minute detail is real and untainted before the viewers' eyes.
While most of these progressive concepts will be under wraps until post-production, one important detail will be revealed soon- who will be the Joseph to bring the male half of the foundational relationship to life? Rose Room Productions is on that hunt presently. There will be Paris. There will be Europe. There will be beauty- lights, camera, action. But a location is just a location until it is transformed by the man who, with Angel Katherine Taormina and Rose Room Productions, will bring the 19th century and The Saints of the Rue Scribe to life. Staying tuned and continuing to follow the journey, those watching Rose Room Productions are preparing to witness a whole new world come into being right before their very eyes.
