Historic Pictoric Releases New Calendar Title: Florida Shores

Buffalo, NY, November 10, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Historic Pictoric, a brand that specializes in restored historic images, announces the publication of its Historic Florida Shores 2016 Calendar: http://www.historicpictoric.com/historic-florida-shores-2016-calendar.html.

Featuring black-and-white photographs provided by the Library of Congress and digitally restored by Historic Pictoric, the Florida Shores 2016 calendar is a new offering in the brand's established calendar series. The calendar begins with an image of a man rowing along the waterfront of America's first settlement, St. Augustine (c1902), and continues with scenes of land sailing on the hard sands of Ormond Beach (c1903) and workers taking a break on the Jacksonville docks, the Florida Times-Union and Citizen building in the background (c1912).

Each image is accompanied by a description that places the photograph in historical context. History buffs will discover that the grand Everglades Hotel housed Miami residents displaced by a hurricane the same year it opened. A brief explanation of the Melbourne-Tillman Drainage District informs a photograph of men with their skiffs on the sands of the Indian River Lagoon shoreline, sea grasses bent from the Atlantic breeze.

The Historic Florida Shores calendar is more than a collection of stunning photographs from days past. Together, the images and the descriptions provide a window into the past lives of Floridians' streets, buildings, shorelines and public spaces.

The Historic Florida Shores and all 36 titles of the 2016 Historic Calendar Series are currently available for purchase on the Historic Pictoric, Amazon and Barnes & Noble websites, as well as at select Bed Bath & Beyond stores. Wholesalers and stores interested in ordering should contact info@historicpictoric.com.
