4D Ultrasound Transmitted - Live - to Iraq on Christmas Eve

Bel Air, MD, December 19, 2007 --(PR.com)-- On Christmas Eve this year, Jennifer Branson will be celebrating her 28th week of pregnancy and having a 4D ultrasound performed, while her husband, SPC Shawn Branson will be serving his country in Iraq. Thanks to cutting-edge technology, however, he will not miss a beat of the upcoming ultrasound. He will actually be able to see his baby boy for the very first time - live- from a computer in Baghdad as it is being performed on his wife in Maryland.
Last month, Precious Previews Ultrasound, a Bel Air-based, 3D/4D prenatal imaging center, introduced their newest service for expectant parents and their families. This state-of-the-art technology, known as 4D UltraShare, enables the secure video transmission of an ultrasound over the internet to virtually any broadband-connected, Windows-based computer in the world. The broadcast is password protected to ensure client’s privacy and is easy for end-users with connections typically made in minutes.
Since being redeployed for a second tour in July, Specialist Branson is not expected home until May, 2008, two months after the birth of his son. Thanks to technology, however, he will actually be able to see his son before he is born. Precious Previews is one of only a few facilities in the nation to offer this service. While the cost of $45 is in addition to the ultrasound, the Bel-Air facility offers 4D UltraShare to all military families at no cost.
