The Asia Institute Announces 2016 Global Education Scholarships

Santa Fe, NM, December 08, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Asia Institute announced today the One Yuan One Dream Foundation’s continued support of global education scholarships. With a commitment to Generation Study Abroad to award over $15,000 annually to scholarships supporting global learning programs, the Asia Institute is actively expanding the scholarship opportunities available to students in 2016.

The One Yuan One Dream Foundation was created by the Asia Institute to assist academically strong students from lower income backgrounds, who are seeking to expand their global awareness and knowledge. In 2016, the Asia Institute is partnering with the Academy of International Business Southeast (AIB-SE) and the Pennsylvania Council for Education Abroad (PaCIE) to offer $2000 in scholarship funding focused on international education experiences in Asia.

The recently announced award recipients of the 2016 AIB-SE Scholarships were Girish Chandrashekar from the University of San Diego and Aaliyah Smith from the University of Texas at San Antonio. The deadline to apply for the 2016 PaCIE Scholarships is February 1, and the award recipients will be announced in March. In addition, the Asia Institute is actively discussing the expansion of this scholarship program with international education related partners who share the same vision and mission for educational opportunities, as the Asia Institute.

Bradley A Feuling, Chairman of the Asia Institute, noted, “The Asia Institute is motivated by what we can achieve through the expansion of our scholarship programs, and for the opportunities students such as Girish and Aaliyah can have to achieve their global education dreams. We greatly appreciate the support that our education and other partners, such as the Academy of International Business Southeast and Pennsylvania Council for International Education, bestow on us. We sincerely hope that more students can be involved in the global exchange of knowledge taking place, and will continue to work passionately towards enabling the next generation of leaders to achieve their biggest dreams.”
