Aspire Students Design and Create Christmas Tree

Oswestry, United Kingdom, December 09, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Engineering students from North Shropshire College’s (NSC) Aspire Centre in Burford, Tenbury Wells, have created decorations for a Christmas tree which has gone on display at Burford’s Parish Church. The display coincides with the town’s Santa Parade and forms part of Tenbury Wells’ Mistletoe Festival, the oldest and largest Mistletoe market which dates back to a charter from Queen Victoria.

Gina Harris, the Aspire Centre Manager, commented, "It was bit of fun that has demonstrated the imagination of our students to design and produce decorations to promote what we do, three of our students joined me at the church to put up the display. Team working, communicating, problem solving and a whole host of other life skills required to make it all happen."

The Christmas tree has raised is in excess of £300 and donations are still coming in, the two community projects that are to benefit this year are Café 27 (The youth café in town) and St Mary's Church.
