The C.R. Ecker Band Releases "A Bright Tomorrow" to Inspire Kindness in the World

"A Bright Tomorrow" is a Country/Heartland/Christian song which was originally written by Charles Ecker in 1988. His goal has been to release this song and make it available at no cost to anyone who wished to have a copy. Some 27 years later, Charles Ecker received his wish and is inspiring the world one person at a time through his songwriting.

Los Angeles, CA, December 27, 2015 --(PR.com)-- "A Bright Tomorrow" represents an inspiring message to the world about perpetuating goodness by The C.R. Ecker Band. It is being broadcast in over 120 countries after its Thanksgiving release. It’s available for download at no cost on cdbaby.com. Other digital downloaders such as iTunes, Amazonmp3 and 25 others now offer the song at $.99 with Ecker waiving any income. So, after 27 years of this literal gift of music sitting on the shelf, Ecker received his wish of being able to share the song without charging listeners one penny of royalties, by way of his self-publishing via the Internet. Publishers rejected this notion of releasing the song at no cost to listeners in the late 80’s, which created the cause for delay. “A Bright Tomorrow” contains a heartfelt message about not only extending goodness to those in need, but also to convey the belief that each of us can help make the world a better place.

The intro of the song is as follows: "If I had one wish, granted in my lifetime, it would be to speak to everyone upon the earth.” It continues, "I'd stand up before all of my brothers and sisters. I'd suggest these simple things to help make a better world." It goes on with much needed inspiration and advice to All, "Be kind, lend a hand to folks in need; Be loving, care for all life’s creatures; Have faith in God, and follow his words, a bright tomorrow starts today with you.” Many find these and the verses which precede them, “speaking of peace, love and goodness, are very welcome and needed during these turbulent times,” noted Ecker, who teamed with singer and producer Michael Stanton on the recording.

Ecker stated, he "had considered a Public Domain release, but quickly passed on this option due to the great possibility of a potential loss over control of the song’s usage, and did not want it to end up in the wrong hands. The song will soon be registered with BMI; therefore, any radio stations that give it airtime will be required to pay standard royalty rates. Publishing royalties would also come from any artists who wish to perform this song." Any and all revenue resulting in the release of "A Bright Tomorrow" to The C.R. Ecker Band will be donated to the two charities that the group has always supported: Wounded Warrior Project and D.E.L.T.A. Animal Rescue.

Ecker's group was formed in Los Angeles in 2011. Since that point the band has earned top country music honors at the Los Angeles Music Awards and the Hollywood Music & Media Awards, winning the award for Best Christian Song in 2013 entitled, "My Dear Lord," and nominated again for a songwriting nod, as well as a nomination for Best Country Band at The Hollywood Music in Media Awards in 2015. The C.R. Ecker Band has received entry into the Starliners Europe Hall of Fame and was recognized as one of the first ten "New Faces of Country" by Nashville's official internet country station in 2013, Renegade Radio Nashville.

Before the recent release of "A Bright Tomorrow" to over 1500 radio stations in 120 countries, Ecker stated, "This song is as close as I'll ever come to conveying the spirit of John Lennon's, 'Imagine.'” In the proceeding days after he made that statement, it was relayed to him that according to various listeners there is a correlation in terms of the song, "A Bright Tomorrow" as it has been a source of hope and inspiration to them. Ecker, known for his diverse writing style, teamed with Stanton’s delivery, are perpetuating an inspirational message of peace, hope and goodness in a style which is unique to them.
