David P. Suade Talks Relaunching BassBox Music Group

David P. Suade is Relaunching Bassbox Music Group. Discusses new business model, the state of the music industry and being successful as an independent.

Albuquerque, NM, January 01, 2016 --(PR.com)-- David P. Suade is bringing back Bassbox Music Group, almost 2 years after the record label folded following his exit as COO. David P. Suade, who went on to launch other business ventures, such as HIVE, an artist management and development company and The Blue Room, a film and creative studio. “After the merger, I really just sat down to evaluate different industries and experiment with different business models. I’ve watched some of the ideas and people I’ve invested in really take off, and others really burn out. I didn’t want my success or failure to be dependent on someone else's commitment or drive, so I created a new foundation.”

Suade made the decision to relaunch after watching the trends in technology and the music industry. “I watched everything, from a star artist with fans driving revenue, and large records sales, to labels selling services to anyone that has a dream of being a star,” Suade said. “There’s a different way to do things, and I think a few people have figured that out. When I look at artists, and business-minded individuals like Dom Kennedy, and Kevin Gates, it’s obvious they’ve figured it out.”

Bassbox Music Group has just resigned for distribution via INgrooves, formally UMG. The label has formed partnerships with other labels, creatives, touring companies and invested heavily in technology. “That’s what’s going to make you or break you. In this age technology is key,” Suade said. “I see a way to do what I love, and be successful. No shucking and jiving, just hardwork.” He pauses, “I see a way, to give people their dreams back.”
