13th Annual Living Legends of Aviation

Legends of the sky and the silver screen are honored at the 13th Annual Living Legends of Aviation to celebrate extraordinary aviators and astronauts. Artwork "The Spacewalk from Hell" by Michelle Rouch and "Limitless" by Mimi Stuart will stride down the Red Carpet.

Los Angeles, CA, January 06, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Internationally renowned artists Michelle Rouch and Mimi Stuart, both members of the American Society of Aviation Artists have been invited to attend the 13th Annual Living Legends of Aviation Award Ceremony, referred to as the Academy Awards of Aviation. Rouch illuminates the 45th Anniversary of the Gemini 9A mission by creating a unique piece of artwork, titled “The Spacewalk from Hell.” Stuart, known for her signature style EOS – Energy of Subject style Kinetic Expressionism, focuses her artwork on Dr. Buzz Aldrin, titled “Limitless.”

Kiddie Hawk Air Academy, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to sparking kids’ interest in aviation. In 2008 they acquired the production of Living Legends of Aviation, an annual fundraiser held every January in Beverly Hills. Living Legends is known for bringing together “aviators who have become celebrities and celebrities who have become aviators" to raise money for Kiddie Hawk Air Academy. The guest list reads like a veritable Who's Who, with the Ambassador of Aviation, John Travolta joining legends, Bob Hoover, Harrison Ford, Morgan Freeman, Tom Cruise, Dr. Buzz Aldrin, Sean D. Tucker, Lynn Tilton, Kurt Russell, Burt and Dick Rutan, Kermit Weeks, Joe Clark, and other award winning legends in the audience. Kiddie Hawk Air Academy recognizes today’s aviation legends by sharing inspirational stories and reaches for the future.
