“We received merchandising awards for these five homes from the Home Builders of Metro Denver, and are happy to receive this national recognition as well,” says Doris Pearlman, president of Possibilities for Design.

“Contrary to the profile of active adult buyers from years ago, today’s 55+ set is drawn to contemporary styling,” explains Pearlman. “Therefore, our objective with the three award entries was to create contemporary designs that resonate with these buyers, and create excitement and sophistication while not feeling cold or austere.

“For the two homes in the Nationals Awards for which we are finalists, one was a family home for young, urban, first-time buyers (the Bluebird) while the other was for the modern family at a higher price point (the Bellvue),” Pearlman explains. “Both designs appeal to buyers who want sensibility and function.”
