With just paints and a canvas, Sam Rosenthal explores and expresses his personal perception of the beauty that typically goes unnoticed but constantly surrounds all of us. He paints drama, mystery, and complexity of nature and humanity. Rosenthal has been commissioned to paint for many businesses, including, O’Hare International Airport, Chicago, IL, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, University of Arkansas Medical School and etc.
“People often go through their daily routines without noticing the beauty around them. Through my work, I share what I have seen, what I have sensed, and what I have felt to enhance their perception of all that surrounds them. My paintings are as reflective of who I am as what is before me, offering vignettes from the here and now that are informed by the past, but now weighed down by it, capturing the moment in a vital, timeless way,” states the artist.
Located in the hottest neighbourhood in Chicago, the West Loop, The Jeffrey Breslow Gallery aims to inspire an appreciation for art to individuals of all ages by creating an exciting venue to exhibit the work of Jeffrey Breslow as well as other artists to invite conversations on the boundaries of art and the relationship between surface and density.
