POWERS Insurance and Benefits' Employee Earns Industry Certification

St. Louis company's employee to better assist workers' compensation clientele.

St. Louis, MO, January 13, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Chris Sullivan, a Risk Management Advisor at POWERS Insurance and Benefits, recently earned his Professional Workers’ Compensation Advisor (PWCA) certification. To earn the PWCA designation, Sullivan attended 13 hours of classroom instruction, completed a written test, and analyzed case studies based on real-life employer incidents.

The PWCA designation provides comprehensive training to insurance agents to help them develop and implement strategies to better serve their clients with workers’ compensation plans. The in-depth training is designed to increase insurance agents’ technical knowledge in order to identify risks and threats to business operations.

“This certification shows Chris’ commitment to truly understanding workers’ compensation and its many facets,” said POWERS Insurance and Benefits’ president JD Powers. “He now has a better grasp of how to help our clients design a long-term plan to impact employee culture, reduce employee injuries, and ultimately drive premium rates down over time.”
