)-- Effective immediately, Aftermarket Electronics Specialist Mods4cars ships the SmartTOP modules for BMW 6 Series E64 and F12 with the new custom designed module enclosure. The Add-On kit enables owners amongst other things to open and close the convertible top from the original key fob remote. The original keys do not need to be modified or reprogrammed.
Additionally the convertible top can be operated with convenient one-touch operation after the SmartTOP is installed. A quick touch is enough to start the full automatic process. Thanks to this feature it is possible to quickly close the top at the first sign of impending rainfall while returning both hands to the steering wheel immediately.
Bonus features further enhance the comfort: The windows can be opened or closed from the remote independently from the top. The doors can be programmed to unlock automatically when turning the ignition off in order to avoid having to pull the door handle twice. An extended mode can be activated which allows a top operation to continue while the engine is being started or stopped. The entire module can be temporarily disabled while retaining all other user settings for when it is re-enabled later. The module can be removed without leaving any trace or damage.
All functions can be programmed according to individual needs. The SmartTOP modules come with a built-in USB port. A Mac or PC can be connected to quickly configure the module or update the firmware.
