Fanatic Sports Powered by BoostMySale Bags Exclusive Rights for Selling Rio Olympic Tickets in India

Kolkata, India, January 31, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Happy news for fans of Indian sports! Tickets for the Rio Olympic 2016 will be available online. In an event held on last Friday (16th of January) the official announcement was made, where the Indian Olympic Association entrusted the job of ticket selling to an experiential and travel company called Fanatic Sports. In technical terms, Fanatic Sports is the Authorized Ticket Reseller from India. All Indians who will be travelling for the big event, will have to procure their tickets from Fanatic Sports.

Fanatic Sports was awarded the tender after it won the bidding contest held by the IOA. Mr. N. Ramachandran, president, IOA said at a press conference that “Earlier, we had a different process, selling the tickets and doing the hospitality part (of the ticket holders). Actually, we were not geared up to do that. We have enough on our plate. So, we decided to do it differently this time, we put up the tender on our website and there was bidding and Fanatic Sports won.”

When asked, if the athletes participating in the games will be getting tickets for their family on preferential basis, Ramachandran said any request made, would be forwarded to Fanatic Sports. He further added that “We have to give some tickets to the NSFs and state Olympic Associations. We have got some demands from the public also. We will forward all these to Fanatic Sports,” Co-Founder of Fanatic Sports made further additions to this. He said that as per the rules framed by the Rio Olympic Games Organizing Committee, each athlete will get two tickets for their families and relatives.

Gupta further said that this is going to be the first time in India that fans can buy tickets online directly. There would be 16,00 sessions in 42 disciplines and the cost of one ticket for a session would be a minimum of Rs. 5000. He further added “We have got tickets for almost all the sessions and the window for buying tickets is open till June,”
