NSC Floristry Lecturer Gives Demonstration to the Tangent Club

Oswestry, United Kingdom, February 06, 2016 --(PR.com)-- North Shropshire College’s (NSC) Floristry lecturer, Eileen Avery, gave a lunchtime demonstration to the Oswestry Tangent Club at NSC’s Scholars Restaurant at the College’s Oswestry Campus. Eileen’s demonstration included instructions on how to look after daffodils and tulips, and how to use and look after floral foam. Eileen demonstrated two displays using recycled materials, the displays using daffodils would be appropriate for marking St. David’s Day.

At the end of the demonstration, the leader of the group gave a vote of thanks and presented Eileen with a small donation to be put towards materials for teaching floristry courses. Floristry student, Lisa Nurse, commented, "The demonstration was informative and inspirational; it was nice to sit in Scholars Restaurant with a cup of coffee watching." Eileen commented, "It was good to have a different audience, promoting the fact that floristry courses have now returned to the College."
