ICBioethics to Discuss “Applied Healthcare Ethics” with Indiana Rural Health Association

Indianapolis, IN, February 09, 2016 --(PR.com)-- “Applied Healthcare Ethics: Reaping the Benefit while Managing the Risk” will be the topic of a Lunch & Learn webinar presented by the Institute of Consultative Bioethics (ICBioethics) to the Indiana Rural Health Association on Wednesday, February 10, 2016.

Among the topics to be covered are quality care, assurance of patient rights, compliance reporting, and reducing training and operating costs while mitigating medical management risk. According to the National Rural Health Association’s website, “Rural Americans face a unique combination of factors that create disparities in health care not found in urban areas. “One of these challenges cited is the increased number of Health Professional Shortage Areas in rural versus urban settings. ICBioethics will demonstrate how a tool like EthAssist® can help alleviate this disparity by bridging the gaps among various organization needs and by supporting rural healthcare professionals at the bedside.

During the Lunch & Learn, Leah Jeunnette, Ph.D.(c), Manager of Bioethics Content at ICBioethics, will guide participants through ethical concepts such as moral distress and fair access to health care and resources. A demonstration of the EthAssist product by Mitch Gennuso, Manager of Accounts and Resources, will follow.
