Proceeds of New Sunlight Machine Release Support Mothers Suffering Miscarriages

On 7th February 2016, The Sunlight Machine band released Brother via Earls Road Records (http://www.earlsroadrecords.co.uk/shop/brother). Proceeds support The Miscarriage Association’s work advising and counselling mothers who have suffered miscarriages.

London, United Kingdom, February 11, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Though profound, the impact that miscarriages have on mothers and the entire family often goes unaddressed. With their new release, Brother, The Sunlight Machine seeks to raise awareness of this devastating issue and services that are available to help.

On the 7th of February 18 years ago, Sunlight Machine writer and frontman Cameron Yazdi’s brother was lost to a miscarriage. While as many as one in four women experience miscarriages, there is nothing common about the pain a mother suffers and the memory she—and her family—carry forever. Yazdi wrote the song to open a conversation he hopes will raise awareness of the impact of miscarriage and resources that are available to women who have suffered one. That is why from the 7th February to the 1st of May, Earls Road Records will donate proceeds from Brother to the Miscarriage Association, a UK charity that provides support and counselling.

A new song in a new format

Brother is a haunting, passionate song that opens a conversation not just about the grief of miscarriage, but about finding the way back to love and, ultimately, to hope. “Our band,” Yazdi explains, “is known for writing openly and honestly about real-life experiences. And real life isn’t always easy. Sometimes it’s heart-wrenching. That’s why it’s so important to give people a way to process what they’re feeling so they can find their way forward.”

Brother will eventually be included on a rerelease of the band’s debut release 103 The Garage Incident. This release will not be classed as an E.P, L.P or album but as an Earls Road Records original format Digital Tape - a 15 minute fresh alternative to the album that lets bands release projects focusing on the energy and content of the recordings rather than longer play time.

Brother will appear with other songs from the exciting midlands duo Cameron Yazdi and Darrell Mayo and their band The Sunlight Machine full release date coming soon.
