Live Streaming Platform BCAST to Unveil "Safe-Stream" Feature Aimed at Personal Safety Broadcasting

“Safe-Stream” is a free one-click instant broadcasting feature of BCAST arriving in Spring 2016 which immediately initiates a live broadcasting stream from a mobile device or third party camera into the BCAST portal “Safety Cloud” with viewing permission notifications sent to preset individuals. Safe-Stream broadcasts are archived for 120 hours unless otherwise requested (FILO) and are not shared with the general public except for “Safety” members preset by the user (Spouse, Parent, etc.).

Reston, VA, February 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Live Streaming Platform BCAST to debut Safe-Stream Feature to add “Personal Safety Broadcasting.”

BCAST, a social media broadcasting platform set to transform how individuals access events and activities, today announced the upcoming launch of its “Safe-Stream” personal Safety Broadcasting feature. Safe-Stream is a free one-click instant broadcasting feature of BCAST arriving in Spring 2016 which immediately initiates a live broadcasting stream from a mobile device or third party camera into the BCAST portal “Safety Cloud” with viewing permission notifications sent to preset individuals. Safe-Stream broadcasts are archived for 120 hours unless otherwise requested (FILO) and are not shared with the general public except for “Safety” members preset by the user (Spouse, Parent, Nearby Friends or in some instances public officials).

The purpose of the feature is to provide a layer of visibility and enhance public safety of the BCAST member. A user would engage the Safe-Stream feature should they be in a situation in which they believe that a disclosed (“I am BCASTING”) live streaming record would modify behavior in potential risky situation with all involved knowing that people are watching and a record is being made.

Mike Hodge–CEO of BCAST explains: “We had this feature on the drawing board for a while but decided to push it now because of market timing and also because we were made aware of a situation that actually happened to a member of our team. His daughter was in NYC using a ride share service late at night when she was aggressively and inappropriately approached by the driver who ultimately abandoned her in a bad part of town. There is universal consensus that had she been live streaming the driver would have never done this. The user can simply engage safety and go about texting, making calls, whatever but can always aim the device camera should the situation turn sour."
