Shipley Campus Celebrates 9 Years of Service to the Community

Oswestry, United Kingdom, February 26, 2016 --(PR.com)-- North Shropshire College’s (NSC) Shipley Campus near Bridgnorth has been serving the community and employers of Bridgnorth, Telford and Wolverhampton for the past nine years. The small campus provides Childcare courses alongside Animal Care and Veterinary Assistants courses, and has become a popular learning environment with students and employers alike.

One student, Shannon O’Neill from Wolverhampton, commented on why she came to Shipley Campus "I chose Shipley because its small and you get extra support. My lecturer, Sue, is very friendly and I enjoy my placement at a school playgroup every week. I hope to get employed by the school when my level 3 qualification finishes." Childcare lecturer at Shipley Campus, Susan Dawes, commented "It’s a small Campus central to Wolverhampton, Telford and Bridgnorth. It has small groups and we have established good links with local employers over the past nine years. Most years, two or three students are taken on full time as employees where they did placement, others progress to university or other employment."

Shipley Campus is popular with pupils from Oldbury Wells, Codsall and Bridgnorth Endowed School who want to do Childcare and Animal Care qualifications. The Campus is open for taster days and tours can be arranged throughout the year by the Schools Liaison Coordinator. Staff are caring, friendly and approachable and are happy to answer any enquiries.
