See the Music - Art of Blues & Jazz Exhibit to Benefit Local Music Societies

View the vibrant blues & jazz music scene in Kansas City through art. This special exhibition will benefit the KC Blues Society and KC Jazz ALIVE organizations. First Friday, March 4, 2016 VIP Ticket-only Reception 5-6pm. Public Reception will be from 6 to 9 pm. Live music, food trucks, an opportunity to purchase art and support two great musical organizations.

Kansas City, MO, February 26, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Art of Blues & Jazz, KC Style will open on First Friday, March 4, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., at Buttonwood Art Space, 3013 Main, Kansas City, Missouri, 64108. The gallery exhibition includes 95 artworks by 27 artists and expresses the influence of music, especially Blues and Jazz, through painting, photography, mixed media, fiber and sculpture. The exhibit will be held in conjunction with KC Crossroads March First Friday Art Walk.

Purchases of art during the exhibit will benefit two local music organizations: Kansas City Blues Society and KC Jazz ALIVE. Half of the sale price compensates artists for their beautiful art with the remainder going to the music organizations as charitable donations.

Meet participating artists, enjoy Food Truck flavors from Chris Miller Foods, listen to musical performances by Karla Bauer and by duo Karla Peterie and Jim Herbert and enjoy a beverage at the March 4th Opening Reception. A special VIP event from 5:00 – 6:00 is ticket-only.
