With two recent publications and several projects in the works, he has been exercising his imagination across genres. Stephen’s writing embodies his spiritual side, his interest in thriller/suspense, and his experimentation with thriller/horror writing.

An ongoing project from his early life, Mr. Matthews published his first novel “Too True for Lies: A Child’s Story” in 2010. His couples’ book, “Marriage: Convenient or Covenant”, is designed to help married and engaged couples return to the authority of God’s word in their relationship. Stephen has released a new novel “Never Saw It Coming” the first of a trilogy in late 2015. His upcoming project “Never Saw It Coming 2” will be out later in 2016.
