Northeastern Online Learning Academy Town Hall Meeting

New educational opportunity for students in Northeast, PA solicits input.

Archbald, PA, March 11, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Northeastern Online Learning Academy (NOLA) is an exciting new educational opportunity; organizers are seeking input from the public as they prepare to offer students of Northeast Pennsylvania a new local alternative to charter school. On March 30, 2016 at Lackawanna Heritage Valley Center in Mayfield at 6:30 pm, representatives from NOLA will hear concerns from students and parents interested in helping to develop this exciting opportunity.

In partnership with over ten consortium schools, Northeastern Online Learning Academy offers a regional solution for cyber education. With support from Northeast Intermediate Unit, NOLA looks to expand offerings beyond brick-and-mortar to hybrid learning solutions for local students. Free and flexible, NOLA plans to customize the experience based on input at the town hall event later this month.

"We realize the educational landscape is changing; our goal is to deliver a model of education responsive to the individual needs of students," says Bob McTiernan, Northeastern Intermediate Unit Executive Director.” Mr. McTiernan, along with representatives from NOLA, invites participants to provide feedback about this new program on March 30th.

Participants at the town hall meeting will enjoy free food and refreshments and a chance to win over $500 in prizes including Visa gift cards as a thank you for their participation in helping to shape the future of hybrid education in Northeast, PA. Together, Northeastern Online Learning Academy students, parents and community will bridge the gap between onsite and online learning.
