Mississippi Forestry Commission Branches Out with New Website

The MFC proudly announces the launch of their new website.

Jackson, MS, March 18, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The entity most dedicated to protecting the Magnolia State’s valuable forest resources is the Mississippi Forestry Commission (MFC). For over 85 years the MFC has been responsible for providing leadership, service and education in the protection and conservation of the State’s beautiful forests. As part of their commitment to ensure Mississippi’s forest resources remain available for current and future generations, the MFC proudly announces the launch of their new website, www.mfc.ms.gov.

“By making information available and easy to access, we can help the citizens of Mississippi receive the best assistance and service possible,” said Brighton Forester, public relations director of MFC. “Our new website enables us to develop and maintain our relationships with natural resource agencies, organizations, and individuals who provide support, collaboration, and implementation of many of our programs and services.”

“The Forestry Commission needed a mobile-responsive website to make it easy for the public to find information quickly, and for employees to access online tools,” stated David Crawford, CEO of U.S.NEXT (usnx.com). “Our mission was to design a user-friendly site with helpful contacts, information, articles, publications, useful links, FAQs, and online services such as burn permits and burn ban updates.”

A leader in forest protection, management, and sustainability of the State’s forests since 1926, the MFC has the privilege of caring for Mississippi's trees, forests, and natural resources. By working together, Mississippians, along with the services of the MFC, can help make sure that their 19.8 million acres of forestland stay healthy, productive, and profitable. As the MFC’s 2015 award-winning short film affirms: “Green brings green.”
